About the author...

Tim Byrd has one of those cliched writer's resumes: he's been a dishwasher, shoe salesman, waiter, soldier, game designer, and outdoor guide. He is now an independent filmmaker, a writer, and most importantly, the father of a smart, adventurous kid.

Tim started writing at the age of 5. He decided to be a professional writer at 10 after reading Ray Bradbury's short story "The Fog Horn," enchanted with the idea that the written word could evoke such powerful emotion. Other primary influences include John Steinbeck, Rafael Sabatini, Stephen King, Robert B. Parker, and Isabel Allende. His interests range from classical literature to pulp adventure, from serious fiction to not-so-much, from Warner Brothers cartoons to comic books, from "film" to movies, from... well, a lot of stuff to even more stuff.

Tim lives in a menagerie with various canines, felines, and reptiles near Atlanta, GA. He is even now scribbling the next book in the Doc Wilde series.
